Woman Taken To Hospital After Being Struck By A Dune Buggy Overnight

A woman is in the hospital after the Oklahoma Highway Patrol says she was hit by a dune buggy overnight near the Arkansas River.

Troopers say the driver was riding near a levee at Charles Page and South 33rd West Avenue. The driver told OHP the woman ran out in front of the vehicle and that's when the driver hit the woman.

The driver was arrested on unrelated outstanding warrants. The woman is expected to survive.
