Union Public Schools said they will provide a daily count of COVID-19 cases, which will be available to everyone online.
A Union spokesperson said this is all apart of a way to be as transparent with people in the community as possible.
The district will post a running total of positive cases from students and staff from each school campuses.
Officials said the numbers will change frequently as people go on and off quarantine or isolation.
The district said when a student or staffer tests positive, a contact tracer will talk to them to find out when they were tested and when they started showing symptoms.
These tracers will then alert anyone who needs to go into quarantine after coming into contact with the sick person.
The district said they have six people dedicated to the contact tracing.
They also said officials meet around 5:00 p.m. at the end of each school day to go over data and determine if any closings need to happen.
If closings do need to happen, the district can quickly switch to their distanced learning option for students.
