Tuesday at 2 p.m. the AARP Oklahoma is hosting a Facebook live meeting that will go into detail on how people can cast their vote in November while still taking health precautions as well as hosting a period of live question and answer after the lecture is over.
The AARP has teamed up with LIFE senior services to present what they are calling “voting during the pandemic, what you need to know” a program which helps voters understand how they can cast their ballot in person or by mail and what the deadlines and requirements are for those methods.
AARP Oklahoma’s associate director of outreach Joy McGill said it’s more vital now than ever that people know their voting method options.
“It’s really important to AARP and to LIFE services to make sure voters know how to do it safely and know their options since a lot of options have changed,” McGill said.
Details about this event as well as a link to the recorded stream can be found here.
