Tulsa Police say they’re trying to identify a man who was hit and killed while riding a bicycle near Lewis and Independence Sunday night.
Police said it appears the cyclist was struck from behind as he was heading northbound on Lewis.
Officers say they received a call 30 minutes later from the driver of the pickup who was already somewhere else but said he thought he ran over something in the road on Lewis.
The driver’s truck was impounded, and his blood was drawn however he has not been arrested because police are still investigating and waiting on the blood test results.
Police said the victim was a man believed to be in his 40s, however they are still working on identifying him.
