TULSA, Okla. -

A downtown brewery no longer has some patio seating after a senseless case of vandalism after someone threw tables and benches, causing lots of damage.

The owner at NEFF Brewing said their business has suffered enough during the pandemic. Now they're set back almost a thousand dollars from vandals striking for what seems like no reason at all.

Jonathan Neff is the founder of Neff Brewing and he started his brewery to be an inclusive place. He has Celiac disease so all the beer and food he serves is gluten-free.

"We want to make everyone feel included, hence our saying brewed for everyone," said Neff.

Throughout the pandemic, customers have relied on this large patio so they can spread out. Then vandals hit.

"We noticed all our patio furniture had been knocked over into the parking lot, some kicked into the street, they damaged out decorative lighting, busted barrels knocked over and stomped on," said Neff.

Neff said it looks like someone got angry and threw their tables and benches everywhere. He said it's the third time they've had damage in a month and this time is by far the worst.

"A week ago, we had someone stomp a hole through one of the tables,” Neff said.

He said sometimes homeless people congregate at the patio which he said is fine by him.

"We just ask that they don't leave a mess and don't toss our tables over the fence," he said.

Tulsa police said they're looking into the crimes but said it will be hard to arrest someone because there's no surveillance video. Neff said that's something he's already changing.

"For us it's not about putting blame on anybody, it's about us bouncing back and adding more security measures,” Neff said.

He's just thankful for his community now pouring in their support.
