Tulsa police have confirmed that a man has been killed after they said he was hit by a car near Admiral and Sheridan Monday evening.
Police said that a man was crossing the road around 8:30 p.m. Monday night when he was hit by a car.
He was taken to the hospital where he later died from his injuries.
Officers said accidents are common on that section of Admiral and poor lighting may be one of the factors.
Sargent Kyle Straight said, "not only is it dangerous for the pedestrians but it's also dangerous for the drivers. You just never know who's going to come out from a dark parking lot."
According to officers, this is at least the second time in the past month that someone was hit by a car in that area.
