Stillwater Public School students will return to some in-person classes on an alternating schedule.
A group of parents is planning to file a temporary injunction Monday at noon, which claims the district is not doing enough to get kids back in the classroom.
The district decided to go back to in-person learning on an adjusted schedule about a week-and-a-half ago--meaning students will be on an alternating A/B schedule.
The district said they'll try this for four weeks and then re-evaluate the district's needs.
However, a group of parents don't think this is enough.
Their petition claims the district's alternative learning plans do not meet the same standards as in-person learning.
The group wants all students to return to in-person learning 5 days a week.
Stillwater Public Schools shifted to distance learning in August, after a spike in COVID-19 cases in Payne County.
Also happening Monday, the Stillwater school district is changing its curbside meal pickup schedule.
The district posted this list of new hours that range from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. for its pickup sites.
