Tulsa Man Taken Into Custody After Driving Into Train

Police received a call around 4:25 a.m. on Tuesday about a man who had reportedly driven his truck into a passing train just west of Southwest Boulevard on 17th Street.

Officers who responded to collision found the driver seated on the side road accompanied by a witness.

According to police the driver rolled his truck through a closed railroad crossing and hit a slow moving train.

The train was undamaged and the truck was towed from the scene.

The driver, who taken to the hospital, showed no signs of injury and was booked into jail on suspicion of driving under the influence and traffic violations.
