Tulsa Tough was canceled this year spring because of the pandemic restrictions but cyclists still have a chance to get together this year for their fall event at Zink Ranch.
People started camping out Friday night for Osage Passage, a "gravel race" it's split up to small, medium and long rides. The long ride is 103 miles and began just after 9 a.m. on Saturday morning. Organizers are expecting around 200 cyclists and say they have precautions in place.
People are asked to wear masks unless they are actively riding in a race and there are sanitation stations set up around the ranch.
With everything that has happened in 2020, several participants say the are happy this event was able to happen.
"Toward the end of the year, it's been event depression, you know? We haven't had anything through the year so seeing the COVID protocols put in place, I felt safe," said rider Sean Thurman
