Regal Theaters says it will close all of its theaters in the U.S. starting this Thursday as theaters across the country continue dealing with declining revenue due to COVID 19.
While Regal is closing other theater chains are still open.

B&B Theaters in Tulsa reopened nearly two months ago and the company says its performing as well as they expected considering the pandemic. Company leaders say they've allowed people to rent out theaters and relied on movie buffs looking for some bit of normalcy. Cineworld's decision to temporarily close all of its Regal theaters nationwide including several here in Northeast Oklahoma.
Paul Farnsworth with B&B says for now that's not in the works for them.
"They're showing up and we've got a number of rentals on the books for private events so while it's less than ideal, we're still encouraged by the response that we've received and we're committed to staying open," said Farnsworth.
Company leaders say they're waiting on new movies to come out of Hollywood and pushing for Congress to pass the Restart Act in hopes of providing relief for theaters across the country.
