Friday is the final day to register to vote in Oklahoma for the upcoming election and in Rogers County, you can register until midnight.
The Rogers County Election Board is open until midnight tonight in Claremore.
"We want to make it easier for those people who have struggled in the past, to be able to get out here so we will be here until midnight," said Julie Dermody, Secretary of Rogers County Election Board.
Dermody said this is a tradition in the county, giving people up until the last possible minute to register.
“We don't live in a society anymore where everybody has a 9 to 5 job, so we wanted to make it available to those people who have a little bit of a rough time getting out and doing those normal things," Dermody said.
Registering takes only a couple of minutes. Josh Shoemaker said for him, it was a simple process.
"Really convenient, I was on my way home, saw the sign and pulled in," Shoemaker said.
Shoemaker said it's a short pit stop that will make sure he is ready for November.
"It's important for everyone to have their voice heard," Shoemaker said.
To register to vote, you need your driver's license number or the last four digits of your social security number. The election board will be open at 414 W First Street in Claremore until midnight.
