Tulsa County law enforcement agencies said they're ready to respond if anything happens on Election Day.

They will be present at the polls and stationed if there is unrest through the night. The Tulsa County Sheriff's Office said they don't expect anything to go wrong, but they'll have deputies ready regardless.

Cities across the country are boarding up in case of civil unrest on or after Election Day, but in Tulsa, law enforcement officers say they think things will stay calm.

"We will be ready to respond if anything arises," said Casey Roebuck.

Roebuck with the Tulsa County Sheriff's Office said they had several deputies stationed at OneOK Field for early voting last week and had no big issues.

"They were very patient; we were really pleased with the behavior of the voters," Roebuck said.

On Tuesday, she said deputies will be stationed at polling precincts across Tulsa county, paid for by the Election Board. Roebuck said the deputies will also be guarding the election board office as votes are being counted. There is a special response team ready to be deployed if there is unrest.

"We haven't received any information that leads us to believe there is a credible threat tonight," said Roebuck.

Tulsa Police Officer Jeanne Pierce said their officers usually don't help with voting security, but they were at OneOK this year to help with traffic control. On Election Day, it'll be business as usual for TPD.

"Tomorrow might be voting day, but tomorrow is any other day for the Tulsa Police Department," Pierce said.

Pierce said they are also monitoring local and national groups and social media and says they aren't aware of any planned events in the city.

"If we hear of anything, we'll be ready for it," Pierce said.

The Tulsa County Election Board said it can't provide security for all 262 precincts, but those deputies will be called wherever there may be issues.
