The first person to be prosecuted under U.S. Attorney Trent Shores' new initiative to keep guns away from felons has pleaded guilty.

Jakob Garland was charged with supplying the gun used in the murder of Tulsa police Sergeant Craig Johnson in September under 2150 Initiative which is designed to get guns out of the hands of felons

Garland pleaded guilty on Monday to Felon in Possession of Firearms and Ammunition and Possession of a Firearm in Furtherance of Drug Trafficking Crime. Court records show that he will be sentenced in February.
