Oklahoma Prisons, Jails See Decrease In COVID-19 Cases, According To DOC

According to the Oklahoma Department of Corrections website COVID-19 cases within Oklahoma prisons have been on a decline, with only 105 cases reported across the state, down from over 900 in September. Almost 4,700 inmates in Oklahoma prisons have had or currently have the virus.

According to the Oklahoma Department of Corrections website COVID-19 cases within Oklahoma prisons and jails have been on a decline, with only 105 cases reported across the state, down from over 900 in September. Almost 4,700 inmates in Oklahoma prisons have had or currently have the virus.

The state of Wisconsin has seen cases among prisoners triple compared to the summer, with 10 inmates dying after getting the disease. One correctional institution in that state has more than 300 positive cases, totaling almost a third of the inmates.

In El Paso, Texas nearly 700 inmates were infected with the virus and 51 Sheriff's employees as of late last week.
