Tulsa Man Uses Penny To Propose To Girlfriend

Marriage proposals happen in so many unique ways, and that was certainly the case for one Tulsa man who used a penny to propose to his girlfriend at Gathering Place Wednesday.

Shane Keizer's now-fiancé Faith Pickering loves collecting souvenir pennies, so Keizer had a custom penny made with a special message asking her to marry him.

With the help of a photographer, Keizer snuck the penny into a souvenir penny machine, and when Pickering went to go use it, she saw the surprise.

"I thought somebody left their penny behind and so I went to pick up mine and the other penny and flipped it over and read it and slowly turned around and he asked the question, and I said yes," said Pickering.

Of course, the penny wasn't all she got; a very nice ring now shines on her finger.
