Broken Arrow city leaders will meet on Tuesday night to discuss COVID-19 in the city.

As cities across the state implement mask mandates to control the spread of the COVID-19 virus, the City of Broken Arrow still has yet to do so. According to the meeting agenda, there will be a presentation and a discussion regarding COVID-19 infection rates within the city.

Last week, Broken Arrow Mayor Craig Thurmond posted a video on the city's Facebook where he said that he did not see the city passing a mask ordinance, however, he went on to state that he encouraged Broken Arrow residents and business to follow CDC guidelines such as maintaining physicals distance, regularly washing hands and wearing a mask.

Currently, the only Tulsa suburbs with a mask ordinance in place are Jenks and Sapulpa.

The meeting is set to take place at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
