The City of Broken Arrow broke ground Wednesday on a new creative arts center after years of planning.

The over $4 million facility will be built in the city’s Rose District on Main Street right beside the AVB bank.

After 12 years of planning, the Brown-Kimbrough Arts Center broke ground around 2 p.m. The center will include multiple classrooms, flex space, gallery space, indoor and outdoor areas to host events.
