Impactful Teacher Of The Month: Randy Williams From Jenks High School

November's Impactful Teacher of The Month is Randy Williams, a high school English teacher from Jenks High School.

Randy's nominator said that he is the definition of an impactful teacher and has led many initiatives that directly benefitted his students.

Mr. Williams helped start a bookmobile program, that delivers books to students all over the district and helped in securing grants for new books for his students and for podcasting equipment.

Thanks to the new podcasting gear, he and another teacher now host a podcast and some of his students have submitted reading-related podcasts for national awards.

Williams said, "We've been using that and incorporating that into our classes to make sure we're staying current with everything that's going on in the world. So yeah, it's been absolutely amazing and the kids love it."

Randy is also the winner of $1000 courtesy of T-Mobile! He can use it however he wishes, but he said some of it will go towards books for his students.
