The holiday shopping season is arriving, and with more people are likely to shop online this year, that means more packages sitting on porches.

One Midtown Tulsa neighborhood said they have already seen the same person steal packages this month and want him caught soon.

Manuel Calvin said he watched on his phone as the porch pirate stole all of Calvin’s packages off his porch. Calvin was out of town at the time. He posted the video on a neighborhood page and found out he wasn’t alone.

Calvin said the thief casually walked up to his door, waited for a car to pass then ran off with the loot. Calvin said because of the pandemic, he’s been ordering cleaning supplies and other items online to avoid going to the store, and that’s what the thief stole.

Calvin said after posting the video on a neighborhood page, three neighbors said the same thief stole from them.

He said a week later, even more people said the same man driving the same car, also stole packages from their porches. Calvin said he and several neighbors have filed police reports.

“I hear about things like that happening all the time but then to actually watch the person take off running on foot, with your stuff is pretty infuriating,” said Calvin.

If you recognize this man or the car call Crime Stoppers at 918-596-COPS.

Calvin said the man has a tattoo on his neck and drives a red car with a broken headlight, and a black front fender.
