The Tulsa County Courthouse is updating its COVID-19 procedures due to an increase in infections in Tulsa County and surrounding areas.

According to courthouse officials, the changes are to protect the court system and everyone involved.

Starting on Wednesday, all jury trials will be suspended until January 11. Jurors who received a summons for trials between now and then are automatically excused and will not have to do anything.

Preliminary hearings that require witnesses are also suspended until January 11.

The family division will eliminate most in-person hearings and trials until January 4.

Violent and DUI misdemeanors will continue to be scheduled.
