Police Say Crash Led To Overnight Power Outages; 1 Man In Custody

Dozens of PSO customers are without power on Tuesday morning after troopers say a drunk driver ran into a power pole near South 81st West Avenue and West Skyline Drive. According to highway troopers, the accident occurred around midnight when a man was driving west on West Skyline Drive before he ran off the road and hit a guy wire causing the connected power pole to snap.

Dozens of PSO customers are without power on Tuesday morning after troopers say a drunk driver ran into a power pole near South 81st West Avenue and West Skyline Drive.

According to highway troopers, the accident occurred around midnight when a man was driving west on West Skyline Drive before he ran off the road and hit a guy wire causing the connected power pole to snap.

OHP troopers said that the driver was unhurt in the accident, but he was arrested after troopers said they believed he was intoxicated.

According to OHP, a few thousand PSO customers were without power this morning however PSO is currently reporting only 40 outages in the area. According to officials, all power should be restored Tuesday morning.

Troopers have not yet released any information about the suspect involved in the crash.
