Downed Power Line Shuts Down Turner Turnpike Through Sapulpa

The Turner Turnpike has been shut down heading both east and west due to multiple crashes and a downed powerline.

Oklahoma Highway Patrol has closed the highway from Sapulpa to Kellyville and says the closure could last several hours. Snowy road conditions have caused several crashes around the Tulsa area and law enforcement are recommending drivers be extra cautious. Troopers say eastbound lanes are able to divert at the Sapulpa exit and get back on once they clear the obstruction.

According to OG&E 2,200 customers are without power due to the downed line.
