December's Impactful Teacher of the Month is Laci Goins, a teacher at the Oklahoma School for the Blind in Muskogee.

Ms. Goins, who has been teaching for 20 years, currently teaches 9 through 12th grade English and she is also the yearbook advisor and the academic team coach.

Ms. Goins is a graduate of Northeastern State University and has spent her entire teaching career at the School for the Blind.

She was shocked to find out that she is getting $1000 cash from T-Mobile for this recognition and she is trying to figure out how to spend it.

Braille books and large print books are very, very, expensive so anything I can do to help supplement that is great so I don't know I am super shocked that I even have it," said Goins. "We're going to get something that's going to be useful in the classroom and maybe something for around the house."

Congratulations Ms. Goins.
