Here are six things to know before you set your alarm for Friday.
1.VACCINE QUESTIONS: The State Department of Health will answer media questions about Pfizer’s COVID-19 vaccine. That’s at 10 a.m. with the State Health Commissioner.
2.FREE FLU SHOTS: If your child still needs a flu shot, the Oklahoma Caring Van will be at the Tulsa Event Center on East 21st Street from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Parents are asked to bring a shot record. It’s for kids who are uninsured, Medicaid eligible or American Indian.
3.SANTA COMING EARLY: Tulsa County Deputies will be delivering gifts to kids in Sand Springs Friday. Santa will greet each student at Northwoods Fine Arts Academy as they pick out their present. The school was chosen because of the need for those families.
4.HOLIDAY SPIRIT: It’s the last weekend for the Tulsa Pop Christmas drive-thru lights. Friday’s theme is Star Wars and Saturday’s is superhero night. It’s free, but donations are accepted, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Permission Hallow in Broken Arrow.
5.CHRISTMAS MOVIE MAGIC: It’s the first showing of A Christmas Carol at Admiral Twin Drive-In. Tickets are $15 for adults, $12 for students and seniors. The movie starts at 7 p.m. Friday night. If you can’t’ make it then, there are also showings Saturday, and next Tuesday and Wednesday.
6.GARTH ON AIR: You don’t want to miss Craig Day’s interview with Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood. You probably wouldn’t guess Garth’s favorite song that drives her crazy because he sings it so much. Tune in at 4 p.m. Friday to catch it!
