Here are six things to know before you set your alarm for Thursday.

1.ROUNDTABLE: The Cherokee Nation will host a virtual roundtable with Principal Chief Chuck Hoskin Jr. Thursday at 11 a.m. The chief will discuss ongoing challenges regarding tribal sovereignty, criminal justice and the recent Supreme Court McGirt ruling on tribal jurisdiction.

2.MORE APPOINTMENTS: The state health department said more appointment slots will be added to its online vaccine scheduling system Wednesday night. They said people can start signing up for them Thursday morning at 8 a.m.

3.IN SEARCH OF A JOB? Braum’s is looking to hire workers for its new location in Glenpool with a hiring event at the Holiday Inn and Suites near 121st Street and Highway 75 from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. They ask that you apply online and bring two forms of ID with you.

4.CLOSED FOR CLEANING: Walmart locations in Grove and Sand Springs are closing temporarily for cleaning. A store representative said a third-party company will deep clean and sanitize the buildings Wednesday for employees to restock store shelves Thursday. The stores plan to reopen Friday at 7 a.m.

5.SURVIVOR SERVICES: Survivor Outreach Services of Oklahoma will hold its monthly dinner Thursday night. The event will be held at Bricktown Brewery in Owasso at 6:30 p.m.

6.LOVE OF RACING: This year’s Chili Bowl continues at the Tulsa Expo Center. Qualifying races continue this week ahead of the finals Saturday.
