McAlester Prisoner Back In Custody After Escaping Jackie Brannon Correctional Center
A McAlester prisoner is back in custody on Friday after police say he walked away from the Jackie Brannon Correctional Center in McAlester on Thursday.
Officials said 52-year-old Kirby G. Yates walked away from the center minimum-security facility Thursday afternoon.
The McAlester News-Capital reports that McAlester police officers took Yates back into custody around 11 p.m. on Thursday.
Officials said Yates is serving a five-year sentence for first-degree arson.
