Courtnay with A Sprinkle of Courtnay shares a fun craft. Here's how to make a snow storm in a jar.
Supplies Needed:
Mason Jar or Water Bottle (16oz or more)
Baby Oil
Glitter
White Paint
Alka Seltzer
Directions:
Fill a mason jar about 2/3 full with baby oil.
Add a small squirt of white paint to about 1/4 cup of water, then stir it until it’s combined. You want the water to be a nice white color so you can see it in the oil. If the bottle you using is a different size, adjust your amount of water according.
Pour the white paint water mixture into the jar.
When you do the science experiment it will fizz at the top a little bit, so make sure no to fill your jar all the way to the top or you’ll end up with quite a mess.
Add some glitter to the jar.
Next comes the fun part, break up the Alka Seltzer tablet into small pieces, then drop the pieces into the jar. Then watch what happens!! Snow storm in a Jar!!
When you’re done with your fun experiment just simply put the lid back on and store it away for another day. You can keep using it over and over; just add alka seltzer.
