Tulsa County Moves Offices, Employees Into New Headquarters

Tulsa County is moving administrative offices into a new headquarters building, and beginning renovations in the Courthouse to make it better suited for the courts and related offices that will remain there.

The new Tulsa County Headquarters building is across Denver Avenue from the current County Administration building. The County Clerks office moved earlier than most and has already reopened in the new building, along with the County Treasurer, while most other administrative offices are in the process of moving. All are expected to reopen in the new building by February 15th.

The county government and the courts outgrew the courthouse complex years ago, and the County now has several departments in buildings across downtown and several miles away. The Parks Department, Human Resources and Information Technology Departments will come together in the new building for the first time.

The new building was last used by Community Care and is being extensively renovated for use by the County. The Commissioners will have top floor offices, with a balcony on two sides of the building. Their meeting room is larger than the current one and is on the main floor. The public will have 50 parking spaces available at the new building.

The County expects the public will find it easier to conduct business with the courts and administrative functions in separate buildings. “If you have business with Tulsa County, you come to Tulsa County HQ, or if you have court business, you come to the courthouse,” said Jarrel Wade, a Communications representative for the County.
