Sand Springs police and the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation are investigating what's being considered a murder/suicide.

Sand Springs Police say the victims are two adults, a 41-year-old female and a 31-year-old male, and their two young daughters ages four and two. Police say they were called to the family's house near 41st Street and 129th West Avenue in Sand Springs at around 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. Investigators say when they arrived on the scene, they were able to get a search warrant to go inside the home where officers say they discovered all four victims dead.

Neighbors and family members were interviewed. Investigators said the mother of one of the adult victims inside the home went out to check on her grandchildren earlier Saturday and walked in on a crime scene.

“This is quite a tragedy for our community,” Sand Springs Police Department Captain Todd Enzbrenner said. “It’s hard for the family. It’s hard for my officers. It’s hard for the medical staff. It’s hard for you guys.”

Police are not releasing the victim's names yet to allow the family time to notify all their loved ones.

This is a developing story.
