The Tulsa Health Department announced their plans to keep Oklahomans safe amid inclement weather conditions as they get their COVID-19 vaccines.
THD will not administer vaccines on Monday, Feb. 15, but said they will start vaccinations again on Tuesday.
The department has rescheduled over 6,000 appointments after weather canceled many Feb. 10-15. The department said that everyone who has been rescheduled should not many any changes in the poral, except for those who cannot make their new appointment. THD has rescheduled appointments from Feb. 10-15 for the following dates.
Appointments originally scheduled on February 10th will be made up on Saturday, February 20th at the lower level of the River Spirit Expo.
Appointments originally scheduled on February 11th will be made up on Thursday, February 18th at the lower level of the River Spirit Expo.
Appointments originally scheduled on February 12th will be made up on February 22nd and February 25th at the Expo Square Pavilion.
Appointments originally scheduled on February 15th will be made up on Saturday, February 27th, at the Expo Square Pavilion.
They urge Tulsans who are scheduled to receive the vaccine to dress warmly and use caution when traveling. THD said everyone must enter the Tulsa Expo Square at Gate 3 off 21st Street or at Gate 5 off 15th Street as those entrances will be cleared.
Officials also wanted to ensure residents that no vaccine doses are being wasted due to cancelations.
