TULSA, Okla. -

The Tulsa Health Department is planning to re-open its COVID-19 vaccination clinic after winter weather forced several days of cancellations.

THD said those with a COVID-19 vaccination appointment for Tuesday will be able to get their shot at the Expo Square Pavilion at the Tulsa Fairgrounds.

THD said crews have cleared the parking lots and two specific entrances. The health department said those coming off 21st Street need to use the Gate 3 entrance and from 15th Street, use the Gate 5 entrance. THD said the roads near the Tulsa Fairgrounds have been treated to make it as safe as possible.

Rescheduled Dates For Canceled THD Vaccine Clinics

Because of the dangerously cold temperatures, no one will be allowed to wait outside, instead, everyone will need to wait their turn from their car. Still, THD recommends dressing warmly in layers.

Winter weather forced THD to close its COVID-19 clinics last week on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, then again on Monday.

The department said it has already rescheduled more than 6,000 appointments.
