The Tulsa Health Department's vaccination clinic is expected to open Thursday after closing for winter weather Wednesday.
Those with vaccination appointments will get their shot on the lower level of the River Spirit Expo at the Tulsa Fairgrounds.
Winter weather has forced the vaccination clinic to close five days over the past week, causing THD to reschedule 8-thousand appointments.
The health department is holding a clinic Saturday to make up a day and it is also adding a second location in Owasso Friday.
Keep in mind, these are all appointments that are already set through the health department. You can not just show up for a vaccination without an appointment.
Everyone with appointments and rescheduled appointments should have an email with all the information about when and where you'll get your shot.
If the updated date and time does not work, you will have to go onto Oklahoma Vaccine Portal to set a new appointment.
While the winter weather delayed COVID-19 vaccines, the state health department said it has not impacted the overall supply.
The department expects to receive 137,000 more doses next week.
It also plans on opening more clinics, which will focus on giving vaccines to those 65 and older, and those waiting on their second shot.
The department said the new clinics could open by this weekend.
