Many school districts are heading back to classes on Monday morning after being out due to winter weather, but not all of them are heading back in-person, some are doing virtual learning instead if even just for today.
Broken Arrow, Union, Wagoner, Sapulpa, Skiatook, Stillwater, Tahlequah, Webber’s Falls, Oolagah, Owasso, Nowata, Bixby, and Central school districts are all back to classes in person today after being out for various days last week.
and Coweta are scheduled to be in distance learning for Monday only.
Tulsa Public Schools will be in distance learning Monday and then the following students will be in distance learning through Wednesday: pre-K through 3rd grade, grades 7 and 8 at middle schools, grade 8 at junior high schools, grades 10, 11 and 12 at high schools, Phoenix Rising and Street School students. Tulsa has district-wide distance learning every Wednesday, then in-person classes will resume Thursday for all above listed students.
Jenks will return in-person Monday, except for the Jenks Freshman Academy, Jenks High School, and Jenks Alternative who will be virtual through Friday, Feb. 26 due to water leaks inside the buildings.
Sand Springs is in a similar situation with all students back in person except Angus Valley Elementary and the Early Childhood Center who are virtual as well due to water leaks.
Glenpool schools do not have school at all on Monday due to an already scheduled professional development day for the district.
Bartlesville Public Schools will also be in distance learning on Monday since the district says 300 of their teachers will be getting the COVID-19 vaccine, so there will not be enough teachers to have classes in person.
