The United States Attorney for the Eastern District of Oklahoma, Brian Kuester, announced on Tuesday that he would be resigning from his position at the end of February.
Kuester served as the U.S. Attorney in Muskogee and Eastern and Southeastern Oklahoma since 2017.
In the announcement, Keuster said, "I am proud of the quality and quantity of the work our office has accomplished. We have made the Eastern District a safer place to live, work, and raise a family, and protected the interests of the United States."
Kuester was nominated by former President Donald Trump and confirmed by the U.S. Senate in 2017.
