Tulsa Public Schools Board of Education will hold a special meeting Monday to discuss COVID-19 testing in schools.
The meeting agenda shows TPS will ask the board to approve an agreement with Project Beacon to expand COVID-19 testing within the district.
The agenda said the Project Beacon testing pool will allow for a safe and secure way to track test results that are happening at more than 70 sites.
Project Beacon is a non-profit focused on helping increase capacity, availability, accessibility and affordability of COVID-19 testing, the agenda said.
It is a partnership with TPS and the Tulsa Health Department, paid for through a grant awarded to Tulsa Health Department.
The board is also expected to give an update on the latest case counts after all students returned to in-person classes last week.
This meeting is set for 4 p.m. on Monday.
TPS will also be streaming the meeting live online, to watch Click Here.
