Amazing Oklahoman: Ellen Stackable

Monday’s amazing Oklahoman works with women in prison to help them learn and grow.

Ellen Stackable founded “Poetic Justice,” an organization that runs creative writing programs for incarcerated women. Women in prison are paired with a writing partner on the outside and they exchange letters and poems.

More than 3,000 women behind bars and 300 volunteers have participated since the nonprofit began.
