Tulsa Man In Stable Condition After Early Morning Shooting

A man is in stable condition after police say he was shot while tending to his trash cans early on Saturday morning. According to police, officers responded to a call of a shooting around 5:32 a.m., when officers arrived they said they found a man holding his right chest area.

A man is in stable condition after police say he was shot while tending to his trash cans early on Saturday morning.

According to police, officers responded to a call of a shooting around 5:32 a.m. near North Kingston Avenue and East Ute Place, when officers arrived they said they found a man holding his right chest area.

Police said that the man told officers that he was outside tending to his trash cans, which were at the curb when a dark-colored sedan drove by and the victim reported feeling something impact the right side of his chest.

The victim told police that he had not heard any gunshots and neither did other citizens in the area. Police who searched the scene said that no shell casing were found.

Police said that the victim was taken to St. John Medical Center where an X-ray showed that there was an object in his chest and according to police, further examination of the object showed that it could be a small-caliber bullet.

The victim did not require immediate surgery and is currently in stable condition.
