A Sapulpa construction company is facing a $205,000 fine after the United States Department of Labor said the company failed to protect its workers.
The Labor Department cited Cherokee Pride Construction Incorporated for failing to meet required cave-in protections and for not providing hard hats or an appropriate means of escape for its employee.
This is not the first time the company has faced trouble, in 2017 the company was cited for failing to provide trench workers personal protective equipment.
The company now has 15 business days to meet requirements and avoid a fine.
