The Oklahoma City FBI office has released a statement saying it is preparing for a larger caseload after changes to jurisdictions in Oklahoma.

It comes after the state's Court of Appeals made a ruling expanding federal jurisdiction on the Cherokee or Chickasaw Nations.
Special Agent in Charge, Melissa Godbold, said "The FBI is committed to ensuring justice for all victims. It's through our partnerships with federal, state, local and tribal agencies that we'll continue to expand our Safe Trails Task Forces and stand ready to serve the people of Oklahoma."
