A man is in the Tulsa County Jail this afternoon after Tulsa Police say he tried to kidnap a former coworker.

Tulsa Police said Davis fired a shot at the victim's front door, at Yacht Club Apartments off 51st and Yale, then kicked it open.

Officers said that's when he grabbed her by the hair, dragged her outside and told her he would kill her husband if she did not get in his car.

Police said a neighbor called 911 and the husband was able to keep Davis distracted long enough for police to arrive on the scene.

They said that's when he took off and led officers on a chase down I-44, before crashing into a pole while exiting on 21st Street.

Police say they learned Davis has been stalking the victim and buying her gifts for months, and that when she reported the harassment, he got fired. They said she had also gotten an Emergency Protective Order, but he hadn't been served yet.

Tulsa Police Captain Karen Tipler said based on his past behavior, she believes the suspect was a ticking time bomb.

Davis is in the Tulsa County Jail facing multiple charges including stalking, kidnapping and burglary. Police said the victim and her husband were injured, but will both be OK.
