STILLWATER, Okla. -

Oklahoma State University will unveil a new high-tech e-sports arena on Tuesday.

The state-of-the-art arena is located in OSU's Student Union basement.

According to the university, the arena will serve as a recruiting and retention tool and will cement OSU as the Big 12 leader in e-sports. The university said that the largest student club on campus is Gamers of OSU.

The nearly 1,700 square-foot arena has 40 high-powered PCs, a Twitch station, a green screen and many other amenities.

The university said a new e-sports certificate program, currently awaiting final approval, from the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education.

On Tuesday, students will get to free play and tournament play from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
