The Oklahoma Unemployment Security Commission said the problem causing some Oklahomans to not get their unemployment payments should be resolved Tuesday.

The OESC said that some Oklahomans who use direct deposit on Conduent's Way2Go card haven't gotten last week’s payment.

OESC said the problem started over a week ago when they began getting calls from people who weren't getting paid.

"The issue with this right now is none of those payments actually went to a bank, so we have claimants that are literally waiting over a week right now for a deposit that should have gone through a week ago," said OESC Director Shelley Zumwalt.

Zumwalt said she's been working with Conduent nonstop to get answers for Oklahomans waiting to get paid.

The company released a statement saying additional security measures put into place to protect Oklahomans' unemployment funds, unfortunately, resulted in unanticipated delays in transferring those funds for a very small percentage of accounts.

Conduent said they expect the problem to be fully resolved sometime Tuesday and said they will notify people about their specific situation through email.

This issue is unrelated to another problem that came up on Sunday when an OESC system update kept people from filing weekly claims. OESC said that the issue is now resolved.

Conduent said all new deposits coming from the state, including this week’s payments, are unaffected. OESC said that means folks may get two payments at the same time, one for this week, and one for last week.

You can read the full statement from Conduent below.

“Over the last few days, Conduent initiated a number of proactive, additional security measures to further protect funds of Oklahoma unemployment benefit recipients, particularly for when cardholders request to transfer their funds from Way2Go cards to bank accounts. These measures unfortunately resulted in unanticipated delays in transferring funds for a very small percentage of accounts. We anticipate last week’s transfers to be fully resolved in the next 24 hours and will notify recipients for their specific situation via email.
Moving forward, all new deposits coming from the state, including for Monday, April 19th, are unaffected. These funds will be transferred as recipients previously directed.
