Tulsa Mayor G.T. Bynum To Present Proposed Budget To City Council

Tulsa Mayor G.T. Bynum will present his proposed budget for the coming fiscal year to the City Council on Wednesday night.

Mayor Bynum has not revealed the specifics for his proposed budget and said that he is holding off out of fairness to his colleagues on the city council.

Mayor Bynum told News On 6 that the city is in a good position this year to do positive things going forward.

"We were facing, at this point last year, the potential for one of the largest drops in city revenue in the history in the city. The fact we've been able to get through the last year with no layoffs, no reduction to public safety staffing has been remarkable," said Mayor Bynum.

Wednesday's meeting begins at 5 p.m.
