Broken Arrow’s Military History Museum said one of its most cherished patrons has passed away at the age of 95.
Oscar Nipps was a World War II veteran who spent most of his life in his hometown of Broken Arrow. He spent almost every day at the museum, sharing his stories with visitors.
Last summer, News On 6 featured Nipps as he received a special honor.
Because he left high school to enlist, he never graduated. Broken Arrow High School gave him his diploma and let him graduate with the class of 2020.
His funeral is Saturday in Broken Arrow.
