City Of Tulsa’s Mask Mandate To Expire Friday

The City of Tulsa's mandate requiring masks in most public places is set to expire at the end of the day on Friday, including for workers inside restaurants and bars.

Originally, those restaurant and bar employees would have had to keep the masks on in Tulsa, but Mayor G.T. Bynum said they would not have to wear them after Friday.

Private businesses in Tulsa can still require a mask to enter if they want and Tulsa police can offer assistance for anyone who does not comply with the establishment's policies.

Mayor Bynum said it is up to each business on how they will proceed.

"They can make the decision on whether or not they require people to wear masks in their facility based on their judgment as to the safety of their facility," said Mayor Bynum.

Some places, including Antoinette Baking Company, Circle Cinema and Magic City Books will still enforce a mask policy. Meanwhile, an official with Los Cabos and Waterfront Grill told News On 6 that they will no longer require masks for guests at all of its locations. Masks will be optional for servers and bartenders.
