TPS To Launch Lesson Plans For Students, Community On Tulsa Race Massacre

Tulsa Public Schools is helping educate students, staff and the community about the Tulsa Race Massacre.

In honor of the massacre’s centennial, the district will launch lesson plans created by Tulsa teachers and the Greenwood Cultural Center. TPS put together videos, activities and book recommendations online for anyone to view.

 The district will also hold its fourth annual Tulsa Race Massacre Institute for teachers and staff to learn how to teach the history of race relations in the U.S. and Tulsa.
