Teacher Of The Day: Tawanna Treat

Friday's teacher of the day is Tawanna Treat, a third grade teacher at Tulsa Public Schools' Project Accept.

The person who nominated Ms. Treat said she "is the sunshine in our school and her smile solves all the world's problems".

Her nominator told News On 6 that Ms. Treat is always there for students coming from some of the most challenging environments. She puts together creative lessons and hands-on activities for her classroom of all boys, each with a different learning style.

She also plans and organizes all school activities.
