Stacey Abrams Announced As Keynote Speaker For 'Remember & Rise' Event

The Tulsa Race Massacre Centennial Commission has announced that Stacey Abrams will be the keynote speaker for the upcoming "Remember and Rise" event at ONEOK Field.

Abrams is a political activist and served for eleven years in the Georgia House of Representatives. She was also the first black woman to become the gubernatorial nominee for a major party in the U.S.

The event will feature speeches from civic leaders and performances from several artists.

The event will take place Monday, May 31st at ONEOk field in downtown Tulsa.

Tickets are required to attend but they are free.

Tickets will be available starting Friday, May 21.
