Tulsa County Deputies arrested a man in Berryhill who they say pointed a gun at EMSA paramedics who were called to the man's house to check on him.
Deputies said after Roger Gray pointed a gun at EMSA, he ran back inside his house and barricaded himself inside with two other people.
They said it ended up being a dispatcher who talked Gray into eventually surrendering.
When the EMSA crew got there and Gray pointed a gun at them, they ran to their trucks for safety.
Deputies said when the he ran back inside his house, he refused to come out.
A dispatcher called Gray and after nearly a half hour, convinced Gray to put the gun down and come out.
"Deputies and dispatchers did an excellent job here. Everyone remained calm. They gave clear and concise directions to the individual. He was not responsive at first but over time with continued direction he did begin to listen,” said Deputy Justin Green with the Tulsa County Sheriff’s Office.
Berryhill Schools were put on lockdown for a short time as a precaution.
