Tulsa Police: 2 Dead After Crash Near 81st St, Yale Ave

Tulsa police say two people are dead after a crash early Tuesday morning.

According to police, the crash occurred around 2:30 a.m. near East 81st Street and South Yale Avenue when a driver, who was traveling on South Yale Avenue, lost control and hit a curb. Police say that the vehicle then went airborne before landing next to the sign for the Vintage on Yale apartments. According to police, the vehicle then caught fire.

Police said that both the driver and the passenger inside of the vehicle died in the crash.

The victims involved in the crash have not yet been identified by police.

Police closed off a portion of Yale Avenue while officers investigated the scene.
